Week 1 - Pelvic Floor Health Principles

Here we take our first look at the pelvic diaphragm, what it is, where it is and what it’s made of. Understanding the living biological materials that make up the pelvic floor is essential in creating clarity in training the floor optimally for support in all situations.

Week 2 - Pelvic Floor Fascia Training

The pelvic floor isn’t just muscle tissue, in fact it’s largely connective tissue (fascia). How we train fascia is different to how we train muscle.

A strong pelvic floor is important but having a flexible and elastic pelvic floor is just as essential and this is where understanding the dynamic properties of fascial tissue comes in.

Here you’ll learn the fascial anatomy of the pelvic floor and how to train the fascia  for pelvic elasticity and flexibility.

Week 3 - Dynamic Domes, Diaphragm & Floor

The thoracic diaphragm is your main breathing muscle and is a co-worker with the pelvic floor.

In this week you’ll understand how to teach healthy breathing while stretching and releasing the thoracic diaphragm for better pelvic floor tone.

Knowing how to train and synchronize the thoracic diaphragm with the pelvic diaphragm opens a whole new realm of pelvic support and stability.

Week 4 - Abdominal-Pelvic Training

The pelvic floor has a non-negotiable relationship with the abdominal wall, if the abdominals contract, the pelvic floor has to respond to support the pelvic organs.

Because the abdominals and pelvic floor co-contract stabilise the spine, the abdominal muscles need to be trained properly for the pelvic floor to function optimally.

Here you’ll learn a new and dynamic sequence to train the abdominals muscles with consideration to the pelvic floor.

Week 5 - Urogenital-Inner Thigh Connection

The pelvic floor has two sections, an anterior section and posterior section. Here we’ll be addressing the muscles that support the bladder directly, the urogenital triangle.

You’ll learn specific cues and exercises to target the urogential triangle + how to balance the anterior (urogential triangle) and posterior (anal triangle) regions of the pelvic floor for ultimate pelvic control.

In this week we’ll also be taking a deep dive into the muscles of the inner thigh, the adductors and how they support both regions of the pelvic floor. Sensing and strengthening the inner thighs can improve the overall stability of the pelvis and pelvic floor.

Week 6 - Jaw & Floor

In the final week of the programme we’ll go further up the body to the jaw. Here is where we’ll cover fascial connection between the floor and jaw that develops in the early stages of utero.

You’ll learn exercises to target the muscles of the jaw and neck, releasing tension and stiffness which can have a knock on affect to the pelvic floor muscles.

You’ll also learn the biomechanics of the jaw and how it responds to the movements/positions of the pelvis and spine + exercises to improve your jaw - spine - pelvic pattern.

Week 7 - Bonus Week!

The Pelvic Foot

Learn the intrinsic biomechanics of the foot and how pronation and supination of the foot influences the alignment and movement of the pelvis.

The Neural Floor

A deep dive into the neural anatomy of the pelvic floor. Understand how to improve the dynamics of the pelvic nerves for improved support at the floor.
